Alyssia and Kevin met way back in 2011 when Alyssia started working Alpac shutdowns. For several years, Kevin was one of the few other people she would see during shutdowns while she was stuck on top of a tower doing tank watch, and Kevin would come do gas tests. They became friends - mostly due to forced proximity (joking... mostly. haha). Over the years, birthdays and slip and slide parties over the summer kept them in touch until Alyssia moved to Georgia for Chiropractic College in 2016.

Jump forward to the summer/fall of 2020 after graduation, and Kevin and Alyssia began spending more time together with a small group of friends. Slowly, they became more than friends, and made their relationship official in May 2021.

Since then they've travelled different areas in Alberta, ran a music festival with friends, and watched MANY movies/shows trying to catch Alyssia up on her lack of pop culture knowledge.

In Banff last August, Kevin asked Alyssia to marry him on the top of a mountain off the Banff Gondola (she was oblivious, and did not want to walk up the stairs in the rain, but is very glad she did. haha).
